Thoroughbred racing stallion born in Kentucky. His offspring have led the Triple Crown in the United States. He won half of his 14 professional races. He did not compete as a 2-year-old. He made his debut as a 3-year-old and, in his second performance, he set a new record over 1200 meters in Gulfstream Park in a time of 1:07 4/5. The same year, he was second at the Derby Trial Stakes. As a 4 year-old, he won the Gravesend Handicap in Belmont and the Whirlaway Handicap in Garden State, where he set another record over 1200 meters in a time of 1:08 3/5.

Overall, he had 25 foal crops, out of which 1,195 horses were born. 16 of them were champions and 182 won Black type races (110 of whom won group tests).
