Thoroughbred racing stallion born in Kentucky. His offspring have led the Triple Crown in the United States. He won half of his 14 professional races. He did not compete as a 2-year-old. He made his debut as a 3-year-old and, in his second performance, he set a new record over 1200 meters in Gulfstream Park in a time of 1:07 4/5. The same year, he was second at the Derby Trial Stakes. As a 4 year-old, he won the Gravesend Handicap in Belmont and the Whirlaway Handicap in Garden State, where he set another record over 1200 meters in a time of 1:08 3/5.

Overall, he had 25 foal crops, out of which 1,195 horses were born. 16 of them were champions and 182 won Black type races (110 of whom won group tests). The total amount of prizes won by his progeny almost reached one million dollars. One of his most notable achievements has been to sire one winner for each of the Triple Crown races.
